Our story
Thabet Platform started in 2020. It was founded by Ustadha Salma Al-Nasser (BA in Fiqh, Diploma in Child Education) and is run today by the Thabet Platform team. Our goal is for every Muslim child, wherever they live, to have a sound foundation in their faith that they love and are proud of, in their own Arabic language. So far more than 6,000 students in over 20 countries have learned with us, including Canada, the USA, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Austria, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman.
What we teach
We teach children and teens Islamic belief, character, fiqh, the Prophet's biography, Quran and hadith, in programs by age:
- Ghars (ages 5–10): a foundation over 3 levels, each 7 months and 55 sessions.
- Muslim Compass (ages 11–16): building a firm Muslim identity over 8 months and 64 sessions; registration opens soon.
- Seasonal programs in summer and Ramadan.
The children's curriculum is drawn from “Ma La Yasa' Atfal al-Muslimin Jahluh” by Yazan Abdul-Razzaq Al-Ghanim, with hadiths from “Al-Arba'un al-Waldaniyya” by Sheikh Muhammad ibn Sulayman al-Muhanna.
How we teach
Live, interactive classes in Arabic on Google Meet, two days a week, in groups timed for the Gulf, Europe, East Asia and the Americas, plus a weekend group. Every session is recorded, and each program comes with activity booklets and a parent support group for questions and follow-up.
How we choose our teachers
We choose our teachers through a long testing process to find the very best: people with solid credentials and religious and educational qualifications, who do this work for the reward of Allah, not just for the money. You'll find our team's names and qualifications in the Our team section.
Your children's safety and privacy
- Groups for older children are separate for boys and girls.
- Ghars is taught by specialized female teachers and educators.
- Only the families of enrolled students can see class recordings.
- We never post children's photos or videos on social media without their parents' consent.
- We collect as little about a child as possible (name and age) and never use it for marketing. Details are in our Privacy policy.
